Here are two sculptures by Picasso. The one on the bottom was recently discovered. I admire Picasso because he didn't go off and fight WW1 which was nothing but a slaughter-fest after one dude and his old lady were shot in some obscure, Balkan town. What the heck!!!???
Anyway...I also love Picasso's humor when it came to his sculptures. The goat is just strikingly ridiculous and the guitar player below reminds me of some falsely suave, debonair musician who wants to be a lady's man. I guess Braque and Picasso both made works with subtly, insanely ridiculous sexual innuendos or puns...funny.
I have often wondered what prompted the first humanoid primate to stand upright. I guess paleontologists think it was to watch for predators in the African grasslands. I have conjectured that maybe he just wanted to start peeing standing up. Or maybe the moon's gravity gradually pulled him upright. Well...think about it. The moon's gravity is strong enough to pull the oceans' tides...millions of tons of water there. Or maybe he was just a weirdo....a weirdo who was compelled through weirdness to stand upright and saw the lion in the grass before the other male primates did. Then he led the female primates to safety, letting the other males get eaten, and became the lead primate who taught his young to stand upright. These things worry me...I mean when have you ever known throughout history men to have been completely correct about anything...science, archeology, paleontology, astrophysics...they're always changing based on some new findings....scary!! I may have to consult the supreme counselor from Gliese 581c. for wisdom on this...to be continued...
