Human Repulsion Project

These last two semesters I have dressed very poorly for classes. Well, there are a multitude of reasons for this but one included an experiment in the likelihood of discriminatory behaviors based solely on appearance. So far, I have perceived that the artist's community (WSU Art Department) are far less judgmental in this regard...in fact, the staff are mostly warm, friendly and very receptive to all dress styles.
Others, on campus, however...need not mention names...but occasionally made remarks or gave disgusted looks...one African American male ....actually two now that I think of it...make disparaging remarks. Interesting.
So...the experiment is concluded for now...I may dress like shit just for fun in the future but the results indicate that our society would benefit immensely from the arts, the employment of more artists, and artist schools in the attempt to enhance a harmonious society and reduce prejudice since not one artist was judgmental, with very few exceptions, about my clothes anyway. Suggest they start in Texas.
